Water Knows No Boundaries
Masaka Secondary School
Our founder, Jonah Ssebaggala, a proud alumnus of Masaka Secondary School, often reflects on how his leadership was shaped through Scripture Union and student leadership—despite being in a predominantly Muslim environment.
“God can use anyone, irrespective of their background, to bring positive change. It is my responsibility to do my part.”
— Jonah Ssebaggala, 2025
With over 5,000 students, the school faces severe water scarcity, worsened by sandy soil that makes drilling complex and costly.
Sychar Springs is taking action:
Completed geological surveys and well drilling
Conducted pump testing to confirm water yield
Next: tank installation, plumbing, solar system, and final commissioning
Once complete, this project will provide clean water to over 5,000 people while supporting the spiritual growth of 1,000 Scripture Union students. We also aim to provide 1,000 Bibles—one for each member.
Water knows no boundaries. Your support can help bring both physical and spiritual transformation to Masaka and beyond.
